How's it going? Sorry I haven't posted something for such a long time, but I had sooooo many exams at the end of January and then I wanted to enjoy my holidays :D And that's what I've done so far: NOTHING, just relaxed, read some good books, celebrated :D

But first, I have a question for you: what are paper towns? Have you ever heard of them? Well, I haven't. Until I read this book. And I think it's a great idea! Paper Towns are places that exist only on maps. Mapmakers just invent some cities to protect against copyright. This idea was invented by Otto G. Lindberg and Ernest Alpers, when they invented a city called Agloe in the state of New York.
The story is about a group of young people shortly before graduation of high school. The main character is Quentin Jacobsen, an inconspicuous boy who spent his whole life living next to the dauntless Margo Roth Spiegelman. When they were little they used to play together every day but as they grew older she became one of the most popular people at school and he became kind of a loser, spending his time with his nerdy friends playing computer games. Margo always was fond of exploring new things. She often ran away and didn't come home for some days. Nobody really knew what she was up to, until one night she forces Quentin, known as Q., to run away with him for one night and play tricks on people who were mean to Margo. So they take pictures of her boyfriend who cheated on her taking off from Becca's house naked or they climb into the bedroom of Chuck Parson, a bully, to shave one of his eyebrows. In the morning when they're coming back Margo says that she had a lot of fun and is sorry that they can not do this again.
That's when the story takes off into a very different direction: The next day Margo is gone and Q. believes she wants to be found by him and so left some clues. Because it's Margo this turns out to be really difficult. She leads him to pseudovisons (subdivisions abandoned before they were completed), makes him believe to have killed herself and leaves some clues to have taken off to New York or maybe even L.A.

I'm not going to spoil the whole story here, so if you want to find out if any of those ideas is true, I guess you have to read the book ;)
